Ive had a serious paradigm shift after a break down yesterday and it was probably one of the best things that could have happened to me.
Background USMC vet and a history of sexual abuse growing up. I had a serious case of onitis to the point where i couldn't control my emotions and felt crazy, everything i did felt like i had no control every decision i made was emotional. I wasn't so much suicidal but i didn't want to live. I've been hearing more and more about stoicism so i started doing research.
What I learned Ive created an idea of who im supposed to be that isnt true to my core. Im not authentic im constantly acting like someone else i think i should be. I create the emotions that dictate how i perceive the world and if i let the world dictate my emotions im going to be miserable. Ive come to the conclusion that being alpha is simply trusting yourself and living an authentic life that suits you. Most importantly you have to love yourself unconditional no one else is going to do that. The only way to do that is to constantly fight and argue every negative emotion that comes through into something good.
Im not sure if this post will get deleted but id like to see more people discussing this kind of stuff i think its the key to happiness. edit- i dont believe ive figured anything out but i think its getting me on the right path if anyone has experienced something like this please give me your advice. I dont want to live a miserable and depressed life and i dont want to fill that void with women i want to find happiness i believe women will be a by product of living a life of control.
