I had a gf once cheat on me. She claimed sexual assault, but when i was supportive and suggested she get tested and talking to the police she said i was over-reacting... I kept pushing, eventually through her phone text i found out the truth. Called her out, she admitted everything and said she felt too guilty to tell me the truth. So does the story she told you make sense? You should go by your gut reaction, its normally right. I understand you want to be supportive, and so did I, but as time went on there was just a little gut twitch that was telling me the story wasn't fully addiing up.
