I wouldn’t define it as that.

I’d see it as more about rejecting the norms of relationship expectations and living life for yourself.

Every man has to support himself and we all need to build wealth to provide passive income for retirement or market changes that mean our skills are less valuable meaning we can’t work for a living.

I live a very minimalist life personally. I live in my van when I'm not living in a one bedroom rental property that isn't being rented out. I make food sometimes, or drink some nice drinks, but other than that, I don't really purchase a lot unless its gold or some negotiable investment or stock or ETF or bond of whatever.

There many types of mgtow and stages.

For example mine doing my hobbies and saying nah to women. I do my urges and have the daily player one motor stick and then I get back to my hobbies. I talk to females on my phone and that's all the contact I make with them these days. But these women are like sister with perks. We don't do anything wired and I get all the entertainment lol

Mgtow doesn't mean abandoning society and living homeless like Rambo. To me, it means "disregard females, acquire currency." There's nothing wrong with building a solid life for yourself and buying things that bring you pleasure with the money that you earned through hard work, rather than giving it to a parasite with a vagina.

You go your own way and they go theirs. In the end it's not about external validation, it's about internal validation and self actualization.

I remember there's a post a mgtow took a photo of his bike and he said thats all he need, doesn't give a shit what other people think he doesn't need external validation.

I remember there are others who shared getting their new trucks and trailers so that they can carry more tools and materials and potentially to expand on their business and provide better services in their trades or professions, and thats great. It's not about the materialistic possessions of oh look at my expensive equipments, it's I'm reaching my goals in building my business or my profession and that gives me purpose and meaning, not women or other people.

MGTOW isn't about a class of people, you'll find every kind of man, including ones living with the very least, and others looking for attention with the expensive holidays, hookers and cars. Nothing wrong with that ! The topic is to exclude standard relationships to switch the focus over yourself and what makes YOU happy.
If living in a shed with a dog and a knife is what's needed to fulfill your self, then go for it. You don't need a significant other. If it's having better wealth for your expensive joys, go for it again. No rules.

Even if they bought a car, it’s not like we have a bunch of cars that we don’t need or we are buying things outside of our budget unlike simps in relationships. Mgtow encourages men to focus on self-improvement and these material things that you see in such post are evidence of that we are making financial improvement which is key to maintaining good mental health. Posts about material possessions aren’t actually that frequent. In any case, it’s better to spend money on yourself than on women who aren’t appreciative.
