I've always hit the gym at least twice a week for a few years now. Recently I've started to interact more with a few of the regulars that I've seen working out on the days I go. The fact that I've been seeing some of these people for a couple years and I've just started talking to them maybe a sign that I'm not that social. They are a good group of people and having taken 2 years just to get the names associated with the face is a good thing. I think they know I'm not here for the new years eve resolution. They are starting to give me little bits of advice in a way as to not insult me just in case I think I know what I'm doing. Trust me I don't know what I'm doing.
Now that a few of the guys are spotting me on a regular basis I can feel the difference in my workout. Sometimes it takes outside influences to help you step up your game. A little push for more reps, a little more weight, go harder, go longer. But damn it's starting to hurt. Today is an off day and my muscles ache, but I know this is a good thing. The stiffness will work itself out. I'll be better for the effort I'm putting in. Stronger, fitter, healthier.
