It's a manipulative power-play sometimes wrapped in a shit-test.

If you're a more masculine guy it's something they do to try to hurt your feelings and emasculate you as an indirect method of increasing their own value by directly challenging your manhood.

You're not the only one, it's pretty common especially if it's in a setting where there's a little bit of a crowd they'll try to humiliate you. Wives do it to their own husbands quite a lot.

Pretty shitty thing to do isn't it?

The best weapon against it is by not spending time around these types of crappy people period.

Had a girl in high school PE ask me why I move my ass when I ran. Said it made me look feminine, or gay or whatever. Don't remember, it was over a decade ago.

That same girl also had the face of a barn owl and fucked a lot of dudes in school. Got knocked up and didn't walk the stage senior year.

Don't worry about it, dude. They talk shit because they know you won't hit them. Focus on getting shit done, no matter how it looks.

If you've got a system for whatever chore you're doing and it maximizes efficiency, why would you care what someone else thought about it unless they were actively trying to provide feedback for improvement?

I got called that and paranoid for not taking dumb chances that do not worth it only to amuse women. Like when I refused to steal road signs with my buddies just because some moderately hot girl wanted to see what happens. I got called a pussy, a covard and everything feminine in the book... Guess who was the who are the 2 people who do not have a charge against them... me who left and the chick who played the victim.

To be honest I was not afraid of anything. I just thought that it is too much of a risk for literally nothing in return. And I said that is a bad business plan to go with. And it turned out I was right.
