As you are aware, Silicon Valley currently has a monopoly on the internet with companies like Google, Facebook, Paypal, Twitter, etc. dominating the internet in terms of market share. These companies are also now practicing censorship and deplatforming. Obviously, some deplatforming is not as bad as others, for example being deplatformed from Facebook is not as bad as being deplatformed from Paypal. However, it is the principle of the thing, if you want to build an online presence for video or livestreaming then it will of course be challenging however it will be even more challenging if you do not have access to the most popular sites such as Youtube and Twitch.

With this in mind, I figured I would post a list of alternatives to these internet monopolies:

Operating System

For payment processing, the best alternatives seem to be decentralised crypto-currencies and of course good old snailmail.

If anyone has any other alternatives they would like me to add, please leave a comment and I will edit the post.
