Having finished Page 1 and Page 2 of the female mating playbook, I sat down to gorge myself on honey.
That has nothing to do with this however. This is about the lie that is told to women about how they "Deserve to have it all." Now, make no mistake - I applaud a woman who has ambition and doesn't settle for anything short of what she deserves. This is courageous and should be encouraged.
This isn't about the woman who is willing to work for what she wants. This isn't about the woman who knows that life is about sacrifices and trade-offs. This is for those girls who foolishly believe that they can have everything they desire while putting in none of the work based on the fact that they're women and the people who lie to them and tell them that they can. This is is about female entitlement.
- A fork in the road
Today, right this second a young woman is graduating high school or turning 18 and is facing a choice. Do they pursue the career, or do they pursue the family? This woman will look at her options in a way that isn't based on reality, but fantasy. She doesn't have to make a choice, she can have both.
Today, right this second a young man is graduating high school or turning 18 and is facing a choice. Do they pursue the career, or do they pursue the family? This man will look at his options in a way that isn't based on fantasy, but reality. He can't have both, he has to make a choice.
- The big lie, and the sad whimper it makes when it hits the wall.
"You can have two of these for the price of one."
In the male mind, we immediately ask ourselves "what is the catch here? What part of this arrangement am I missing?" This is because the male mind is accustomed to an unbroken chain of cause/effect that has been reinforced by society. The female mind is more accepting of this arrangement (in fairness, when stated directly like this, they will suspect a hook) because they are unaccustomed to understanding that cause/effect apply 100% of the time.
Translated to life terms, "You can have two of these for the price of one" becomes "You can have two of these (relationship and career) for the price of one (the effort required to be successful at one or the other)." Men know that this does not work whereas females have been deceived into thinking that it does through years of conditioning and receiving special favors because they're female.
This, among other silly ideas, gets impaled when it hits the wall.
Society does not have an abundance of women who have chosen the relationship route trying to grow careers overnight. The requirement to have a foundation of experience and knowledge makes that an impossibility. This post isn't about them. This is about the women who have made the choice to pursue a career and then decided that they are entitled a relationship that is just as rewarding while having put in none of the work required to have one.
This decision occurs around the same time they hit the wall - the time their SMV sharply declines and their biological urge to reproduce hasn't been sated. Society says "you deserve to have a good career and the man of your dreams. All of this should come without you having to sacrifice anything." Reality says "you made your choice. Live with it."
