I saw Godzilla king of monsters with the kids last night (Hardly a cinematic masterpiece), and I couldn't believe how red pilled the movie was. Basically, a Scientist whose ex wife (also a scientist) turned their daughter against him after their divorce which was caused by the death of their son at the hands of Godzilla in a previous attack, comes to learn that his exwife had restarted work on a device to control the monsters that he thought they agreed to destroy because it was dangerous. He learns this when her co workers (and at one time formerly his) inform him that his exwife and daughter were kidnapped by eco terrorists and taken along with the device, which needs to be recovered. He agrees to help and they learn along the way that the exwife was working with the eco terrorists and that their plans are to wipe out most of mankind using the monsters in order to "Save the earth and restore balance". Keep in mind that many of her friends and coworkers were killed during this. As the movie progresses we see millions of people being killed around the world as the monsters destroy the major cities. The scientists daughter (Who longed to reconnect with her father) learns her mothers true intentions and realizes that her mother is the monster and runs away with the device to try to stop the destruction. The mother's angle is that she is saving the earth in her dead son's name so that his death will not have been in vein (by killing billions of people). She ultimately realizes that things got out of hand and that her husband was right, and also joins in the effort to foil the plot. Father and daughter are happily reunited, (and we see in flashbacks that he was a great dad when the couple was still married. I was amazed that liberal Hollywood even allowed this movie to be made . I do miss the old Godzilla films which were much more fun. Guys in rubber costumes slugging it out while smashing model buildings and stomping matchbox cars, was more entertaining than CGI creatures killing each other with radiation, and electric, and fire.
