I always wondered this and I feel like posting here would get a more honest answer. I've noticed this even before social media blew up. I always notice that wherever you are online, women always get treated more special and exclusively. For example, on dating sites, it's women that are always receiving the hundreds of messages from men, where as men will receive very few if any at all. Even Chads don't receive a lot of messages, at least not at the rate of even a mildly attractive woman.

Another example would be in the gaming community. If you have a vagina (aside from the hateful men who are really just jealous). They get treated like royalty. It's always women that are constantly getting invited to do things with a group full of guys. A woman never games alone pretty much.

I thought maybe it's a gender ratio thing, but is it really the case that there are many more men online than women? Are the real attractive good looking women not needing to go on the internet to find attention?

I think this exists pretty much everywhere. Even on none dating sites or sexual based places where people are just looking to meet each other, if a woman posts that she wants to make friends and meet someone, she receives a ton of messages, men maybe get 1-2 at most.

I'm only talking online of course. Has anyone else noticed this and has any thoughts of why this may be the case?
