Yes you are correct. The example I used was to illustrate how our collective knowledge advances in the sciences but collectively we seem to ignore all the evidence that explains our human nature and it is our real nature that people struggle with.
Much of science is anti-intuitive. I have not reworked Galileo's or Kepler's calculations to verify for them for myself. However, the Earth does appear to be the centre of our universe particularly if you were looking up at the sky from your desert dwelling 5000 years ago.
