Of course! It sounds like a good plan for those for whom it works.

During my second marriage I lived in one of those small US towns with very expensive real estate prices and great school system: everyone was married with 2,3,4 or more kids, and most all women were trophy wives.

It worked well until they reached age 38-42 when somehow they became very unhappy and they have affairs or get divorced or both.
