Little boys explore. They find cliffs to jump from and rivers to cross and rocks to throw.
They find things to do, & say, & ideas to test
and things, and systems to memorize, like baseball card stats, wrestlers and pokemons.
they learn how to persuade their friends to understand their opinions!
so, take that tablet away every now and then. it's a distraction from creating.
it's impeding our youth from understanding the power of spoken word. it's teaching our little boys ideals that might not even align with who they are, or their own body chemistry. it's like we're telling our kids it's cool to be gay before they get their first erection. our kids are being trained by everything BUT parents.
they'd rather upvote simple memes than read and understand and interpret longer text, like this one i'm writing now. they're more accustomed to automatically agreeing with bite-sized text than comprehending and testing something like this very post, against their own experiences and beliefs. we're guilty too, adults..... take that tablet away parents.
