You can ease yourself out of that behavior. Right now you're thinking all the time "how can I help", and when you see a chance you jump to attention. Stop assuming they want or need your help, wait for them to ask, and do only what was asked. That will help you to stop looking for ways to help. Hopefully you'll start to enjoy minding your own business so you'll be annoyed when people need something, then you start requiring compensation for doing anything out of your way. Finally you'll recognize people who always need help can't be helped and you're only enabling their weakness. You're perfectly justified telling most people to fuck off, you've got better stuff to do. This applies to all people btw, not just women. You're not guilty, you don't owe anyone anything, and honestly a good deed very rarely pays off at all (a bad deed will make enemies though, if you care). Stand up for yourself, it's better for everyone.

The only woman I ever do shit for is my mother, and I only do that because she actually did work her ass off when I was a kid to keep me alive (I'm a childhood cancer survivor, she was buried in medical bills, and even daddy government won't give a single mother THAT much money lol). I feel sorta like I owe her for that. Even with my own mother it still comes back to bite me in the ass though. I'm an only child and pretty much all of our family is dead aside from my narcissistic and emotionally abusive grandmother, so my mother has become extremely emotionally dependent on me. She can't handle not having me around. She falls apart and blames me for it. I've tried to cut her out, but I end up feeling guilty because I just can't seem to feel OK taking away the only source of happiness from another person's life in order to preserve my own happiness, regardless of who I'm taking that happiness from. The moral of my story is that you need to remember that it doesn't matter who the woman is. It could be your mom, your grandma, your sister, your aunt, your cousin, anything.
