My friend’s girl tried to pull this move before last Christmas. He’s was roommate and he got in trouble with the law and does the every weekend jail thing. So he obviously leaves his wallet in the house. Well, this bitch calls me at 2am one Saturday asking for his boyfriend’s wallet. I ask her why, and he says she wants to take some money so she can buy him a Christmas gift. I just started laughing over the phone and she hanged up. The reality is this is very common. Women look for men who earn more than they do. When they move in together say she earns 20k and he earns 40k she will be looking for a 60k lifestyle. So after she has chipped in for the shared costs she will have very little or nothing left. At this stage female accounting principles kick in I.e. we earn 40/20 so it’s fair that all living expenses be split in that ratio. However should you go out on a date night dinner etc he will be expected to pay in full.

I remember an ex girlfriend once bought herself a $150 pair of shoes on my birthday and just got me a card. I then went out to buy myself a present. Later she complained that I bought myself something but nothing for her.
