She's just like those two idiots that were stuck on a sailboat that had the most complicated story of why they sucked ass for months, and that was bullshit too.

I'm going to assume everyone here knows the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. I'll also assume you're capable of looking at the horizon, seeing a giant mountain, and having a fairly good idea where the mountain is in relation to where you entered the park.

So anyway, depending on which part of the park you're in, there's a giant mountain (relatively) with jurassic park jungle coming off it.

the entire park is ringed by a road. Everything civilized is located to the west of the mountain. Pretty much anywhere you are in the park you are 10 miles from the coast where the 360, kula hwy, or palani hwy which rings around it is.

17 days, to not be able to go 10 miles, and you would have to be dead center on top of the mountain, which you would never be, and see all of creation on the island.

You wouldn't be on top of the mountain in the first place but lets pretend you were through magic. There are dozens of trails to follow, much less being able to see everything. And unless you're doing to some obscure town for no reason like Hana or Wailea Makena, you're coming from Kahului the biggest town to the west of the mountain. So if you were on the east side of it, which you wouldn't because because you'd just walk down it to the east coastal road, you wouldn't climb over the mountain to get there.

So she spent 17 days in the jungle for being unable to travel 1.7 miles a day to freedom? When you know for a fact roughly where you are east/west of a mountain top you can see from any clear spot.

I mean if she fell into a ravine (not said) or were immobilized(not said), then maybe, but she just laid around waiting to be rescued?

The park is ringed with a road, and some of it would be a difficult journey, but why you'd walk somewhere harder than where you came into the rec area, I have no idea, I'd have to lower a few IQ points, or smoke a lot of weed.

What probably happened, like those two retards "lost at sea" in their boat, is that she's doing this for fame, book deal, lifetime movie, speaking tour, whatever. Woman surviving lost in the woods.

This is Hawaii, there's tons of fresh water so you're ok there, so you're just basically not eating, and food is abundant. If you know the basic of survivability you'll do fine.

And come on, didn't bring a phone? This is a woman right? Have you ever noticed these "survival" stories always has everyone magically decide not to bring a phone, with it's GPS and built in compass that doesn't even require an internet connection to work out roughly which direction to go to escape? I leave my phone in the car at a bar and I go back and get it so I can shit post and look at porn, and I can make do surviving in a pub without getting lost.

Go look at satellite topography in the area. You're not going to climb jurassic mountain, you're going to head west and hit farmland, or the suburbs, or that big road that is a circle around the entire thing. Even the little park has a ring road and is pretty much just a mountain (except way smaller).

Just wants to do a book deal involving spirituality and "finding" yourself. It if isn't leftist "new age" shit, it'll be rightist "finding jesus" shit.

The whole story is suspect. Wasn't it reported her bf was with her? The story seems to keep changing; now into some hippie shit. Common sense she lacks. The island is not very big, easy to tell east from west. Something is rotten..was she on drugs?
