I guess I must have worked at a lot of progressive companies, but I've never once observed anything like what's described. It must just happen when you try to have sex with your boss or are a quota hire, because I'm highly observant about how humans interact with each other since I never had anything to do.

I've seen pretty girls have more guys come by to talk to them about just average nonsense, you know that cubicle flirty conversation type shit, whereas people would just bother me about, you know, work, because I guess I'm not flirty enough.

Never saw the man-terrupting during meetings BS people claim, never saw a mansplaining thing, never saw that man stealing a girl's ideas thing.

This must happen in very specific industries like marketing and advertising or whatever nonsense or it all happens in the boardroom or just in NYC and LA or some nonsense. All those "ideas" type jobs. Places I worked wasn't run that way, it's would be "here's the work, follow these parameters, you figure it out to get it working".

The only place I saw the kind of nonsense play out was in movies.

Based on comments, it seems to me that she was treated differently due to hierarchical reasons, but she interprets this as gender related.
