I've just finished binge watching a show set in an alternate reality where women rule the world, here is a break down of the facts:

  • A (female) creates AI that destroys the world by hacking and launching Russian/American nukes
  • A betrays 73+ of her friends/family and causes U.S. army to bomb them with 0 chance of rescue/survival
  • A gets herself killed after she walks into a cloud of radiation because she didn't believe it'd kill her
  • In her own words: "I feel like I'm strong enough to handle it" (I wish I was joking)
  • The AI that was created by A can only be controlled by women
  • There are 5 women who have used this AI
  • Whichever woman has this AI rules/leads the tribes
  • In those five generations, humanity has devolved so much that some people resort to cannibalism when they fail to figure out how to grow crops
  • People in this future use horses, carry swords/spears and speak a heavily accented dialect of a mix of broken English/Spanish (show is set in North West America)
  • In this world, there are no bridges, roads, major cities or functioning power plants
  • Their capital city only has one building taller than two stories, which was built 200+ years ago and it crumbles and groans when they walk too hard/fast
  • This building has several floors which have flat out collapsed and what was previously a 47 storey building is now a 44 storey building
  • They love to sit around and tell stories of the "days where things worked" (seriously)
  • There are only two functioning boats (manned by men)
  • None of their clothes are new, all the clothes they have are passed down generation to generation
  • Some people wear shirts they inherited from their 2nd great grandfather
  • All of their "weaponeers"/"healers" are men
  • There is a constant state of war, with wars going on that have started after the first bombs dropped (250+ years ago)
  • Succession to the throne is determined by which of the woman's chosen successors is strong enough to kill the other potential successors (all under 12)
  • Humanity has devolved into dozens of tribes, where the "weak" babies are killed and women (by law) can only re-produce with "strong mates" (to keep the blood line strong)
  • In this show 3 different women have committed genocide on 4 separate occasions
  • Cue 15 minute long scenes of crying/hamstering as to why genocide was the "right choice"
  • Whenever one of the tribes refuses to do something the leader wants, the (female) leaders commit genocide against that tribe, it's not uncommon for 300-1000 members of that tribe to get killed for no reason
  • Then to make matters worse, after they kill all of the potential successors, they go out looking for more because when the new leader dies the entire process starts all over again
  • It's not uncommon for 50-200+ people to die for no reason during the process of a new leader being "chosen"
  • In some parts of the world, some people can no longer understand danger signs are and in one scene they walk into a room full of sulphuric acid that was dumped there after some women realized that it "made you burn"
  • In this film when two people who don't recognize each other see each other, they grunt/groan/scream at each other until one of them gives a gift/trades something with them
  • In this film, lamps/candles are the among highest value objects because humanity can no longer make electric lights
  • Not to forget precious metals/gems/diamonds/jewellery which most people avoid because others might kill you to steal it

Some stuff has been altered because many of my friends know I've been binge watching this (older) show.

The best part (by far) is that this show was written and directed by a team of women!
