I wanted to share a quick experience. As a male, with a disability, I often have a hard time moving. It Happens, no biggie. Today I trained in the gym with a female friend of mine. After the training we both went into the changing rooms. All the males complimented my performance and told me I did a fantastic job, and to keep it up, without me even addressing them. Huge confidence booster, immensity appreciated. My female friend noted that she was insulted by another women in the gym, for having too much muscle.

Conclusion? I consistently notice that as a disable person, other males are highly supportive and encouraging of me. It almost goes without question that that support network, merely based upon us being males, is present. Women however have a network of put downs for each other. Nor has one women ever been as encouraging as other males are toward me. I feel blessed to be within a gender that is so supportive , it’s honestly great.
