I had to work in close proximity to two chattering Millennial women the other day and in amongst the sea of unappealing vulgarities and asinine pop culture discussion they somehow came to a consensus that was pro-monkey branching (They didn't call it that but basically "You need to have a backup man in case it don't work out with you and yo man" bullshit.)

This is a relatively small sample size and this statement may not be 100% scientific, but what are the odds that two completely different women who just met share this view that by all rights should be fringe and frowned upon in a healthy society? If that's not proof something is deeply, irreversibly damaged about the modern female psyche then convincing proof does not exist.

If Meghan never left her first marriage she wouldn't be a princess today or royalty.

She still isn't royalty; her title is "duchess", but she's still a commoner. Marrying into the crown instead of being born into it doesn't grant you royal blood. She's a civilian who married a prince, the absolute closest thing any woman will ever get to achieving a Disney fairy tale "Happily Ever After"...and that's assuming that they're marriage isn't in turmoil behind closed doors.
