Magazines by old women sold to other old women still use photos of young, attractive women on the cover, even though virtually no young women partake in these hobbies.

You can't blame us for ageism or beauty standards if your own people making magazines for themselves won't buy a magazine with a photo of someone their own age on the cover.

If they see old women on the cover of magazines doing things that interest old women, they will see how pathetic they are.

old woman: "Look at me knitting. See that young attractive woman on the cover of the knitting magazine? I'm like her. I'm cool".

No lady. You are not cool. You are one step away from getting a cat and becoming that crazy cat woman who likes to knit sweaters...
