I have now been a part of the MGTOW community for 5 months and I have spent that time trying to make sense of it in light of my Christian faith. This is my conclusion.

I'm of the conservative Christian persuasion that all people are born as corrupt sinners. Their very nature is fallen, men and women. Everyone is like this. AWALT and men too, in their own way.

In the first few chapters of the Bible in Genesis, Adam and Eve are created. They do what God told them not to do and they were cursed.

Men then find toil in their work. Women, however, gain a character flaw. They want to overtake men. It's their cursed nature. AWALT is biblical.

Throughout the Bible women who go against their nature by serving, with humility, their husbands are praised. Proverbs 31 gives the epitome of what this is to look like. In other words, though AWALT, some have the unescapable goal of not being like that but as a "woman who fears the Lord."

Ephesians 5 then tells people in marriage to go against their nature further. Husbands, do what is not natural to you and love your wives. Wives, do what is not natural to you and submit to your husbands.

Current western culture has taken the masculinity out of men and created feminized men. Modern culture does much to tell us to love unconditionally. Past cultures did not do this as well. Though our own culture has a beta-fied version of it.

The biblical understanding of what a husband should be is one who loves his wife even to the point of death BUT he is unwilling to compromise what is right and good. This version of manhood is rare.

The biblical understanding of what a wife should be is one who supports and respects her husband and his decisions. This does not mean she does not stand up for what is right. Respect is the magic word here.

What modern feminism has done is so destroyed the image of what a woman ought to be. It has destroyed the goals of each gender as they fight against their inherent cursed natures.

And here is the benefit of groups like MGTOW. It takes a look at culture and agrees, in part, with the Bible.

Both MGTOW and the Bible look at where the world is and says this is not right. Both say that it is better to live in the desert than to be at home with a quarrelsome woman. Literally. Look it up.

Not until we live against our nature and more like Jesus will relationships be proper. My goal is to properly love as Jesus loved but for as long as women live rebel as Eve did in the garden, I'm destined for monk-mode.

Unfortunately, we have a long way to go. I married a conservative Christian woman myself who would have agreed with everything I said. That said, she ended up giving into both her nature and culture and became abusive, hateful, and unfaithful.

MGTOW for the glory of God.
