All that is needed for marriage, is to give her your word. It's a contract between two people and God. Not two people and the state.

If you sign a contract with the state, mostly the man gets fucked over.

If you give her your word without a contract, it's mostly up to how much you two are dedicated to that word.

No signing with pen and paper will change that.
