Ive always known deep down since I was a small child that I’d never marry and have a family, but since making it officially into my adult years (I’m about to turn 22) I find that it is really quite impossible to even have female friends. I’m not too difficult to get along with as long as you don’t make things personal with me, and a few women I actually felt comfortable working with and thought I could be friendly with until I found out that they thought I wanted to be their boyfriend. One of them I eavesdropped on when she was talking with her girl friends and she was saying she didn’t add me on Snapchat because I’m tryin my to “weasel my way in” and she also said that when I told her I was asexual, I was just trying to look cool and make her want to try to change it. One of her girl friends (the future strong minded, ceo, independent business woman type) told her that she needs to be more confident and really sit down with me and firmly tell me that she doesn’t want me and to back off. Know what I did? I turned the tables on them and sit her down to talk. I even made sure that business college girl was there as a witness and then I told her that I felt she was trying to take our friendship too far and she needed to get over me. This angered them both. They said some pretty nasty things and told me I have no respect for women and how DARE I lead a young lady on like that. So things just kinda changed there. Well thanks for reading my rant. I’ve learned now just to keep interaction with female coworkers to a minimum and only talk about work related things. I’m in a new city at a new job now so there’s nobody mad at me yet. When greeted I don’t respond much and basically just nod when I can or answer vaguely. Don’t want to get involved in this again.
