So there is this new guy at my job who is cute, in a feminine way. Has that “gay man with a chip on his shoulder” resting bitch face, and never looks like he is enjoying life. So we started talking about women and he states that men should be the ones that have to take birth control. I told him, “NO, it’s a woman’s responsibility, she is the one having the baby”. Which was the catalyst to him asking me if I believed in feminism, to which I replied, “No, I don’t.” What the fuck was that for..... He started REEEE’ing about being raised by women and that he would always be on the women’s side. I started to laugh then, simply because I hadn’t met one of these lunatics in person before. Here’s a rundown of his opinion on certain subjects;
Men- “Men are shit. Men have subjugated women for years. Male privilege keeps women from achieving many things in life”
Law Enforcement- “Cops target black men simply for being black”. (LMAO!)
Being gay- “Masculine gay men have privilege, and men have made my life difficult because I am feminine”. ( I am a male, Latino immigrant, but apparently, I have privilege because I am a masculine gay dude).
“Believe all women”- I asked him what he would do if a woman accused him of sexual assault. He said (and I am not shitting you), “They wouldn’t believe her.” I told him that he would be arrested until they could prove that he didn’t do it. He said, “Good. Men deserve it.”
Facts- “Facts are shit.” When I showed him an article detailing the ways in which men are oppressed in this society, he didn’t want me to continue reading. He said he felt very strongly about his opinions, even when I stated facts that completely contradicted him.
Gender- “There are more than two genders! You cannot dismiss or diminish a persons importance based on the gender they identify as”. He regurgitated the same bullshit about “Gender is a social construct”, but when I bought up science and medicine, and how science and doctors will only recognize two genders, he said it didn’t matter. People should be accepted for whatever they choose to identify as.
It felt like I was talking to some pink haired, sexless feminist lesbian NPC, TBH. It’s like he identified as a woman and wanted to have a vagina SO BADLY, that when I reminded him that he was man and had a dick between his legs, he said, “So what? Fuck your facts. Men are shit and the patriarchy is responsible for how tough women have it in society (I’m paraphrasing, but you get the gist)”. It really was like talking to a cult member, hearing him repeat the same bullshit that other liberals spew VERBATIM was fucking shocking to me. Their arguments are so weak and uneducated, it was like arguing rocket science with a toddler.
We are still cool, and I gave him a pound before I left and told him no hard feelings. He told me he still though my “opinions” were shit, I laughed because I felt the same about his, and I went on my way. My question to you guys; Have you ever encountered a loon like this in person and how did you deal with it? When did facts, logic and reason take a back seat to “Muh Feewings!”? It’s like living in bizarro world where people truly believe that their feelings are more important than science and data.
