Question for current and former military, police, fire?

Vet here.

Everybody is going to be looking out for themselves increasingly as things worsen. Guys including police will be looking out for their family when things go critical.

Until then, we all will continue being who we are, and attempting to help others.. Thats the one common denominator in the groups you mentioned. Its like nurses, people who are generally more inclined to want things to go well for everybody.

Military, Police, Firemen, EMT's, are there because they care.

But we cant control the politicians, and everybody else has their head up their aft end playing tribal bickers...

A lot of guys on this forum talk collapse... but its like they think castles will pop up on hill tops like magic mushrooms and everyone can file inside for the dragons and dungeons feast....

Who is actually preparing? How many young guys are diligently learning fundamental martial arts?

How many archers and swordsmen? how many riflemen? how many spud diggers? How many taking mountain medicine courses?

I see more written here, on video games and fantasy movies....

Like its going to be a polite collapse? Like in 72 hours all the good guys are going to come out of their houses and make everything all better?

After 5 years in the Army and 2 combat deployments, I can wholeheartedly say I will never go back under my own free will. Nothing that we are fighting for currently is worth dieing or killing for, and the military is used as a testing ground for a host of social experiments that damage our ability to actually fight wars. It's fine while we fight technologically and economically inferior forces, but if we ever go to war with a force on par with our own a huge amount of men would needlessly die due to poor leadership and decision making.

If you want to join the military I advise against it, but if you have no alternatives than you should enlist in a MOS that gives you valuable skills in the modern workforce, and try to stick to the Air Force or Navy.

Honestly, it really depends how bad society is getting. Maybe I'm not the type to read so deeply into how gynocentric it is, but I notice it enough. I'm in the military, just a part-timer (reservist) (I know, weekend warriors, whatever) so I do it because I'm genuinely interested in what I could learn (tactics, shooting) and get a little discipline for myself.

For those considering a future in those occupations, just remember to do it for yourself. Even though they say 'individuality doesn't exist' just be an actor and play along. Think for yourself, act like others.

Active military here, my answer is I’d do this until my body will no longer let me. For me, my service to the nation and her people means the world to me. And another reason is so my kids can see what a real man looks like. Not one of these weak ass “men” of today who hold no moral values. Just remember a good man is someone who has the power to do bad but chooses to do good. Military life teaches you a lot about who you are and it really exposes you to how much of a shithole it is, it’s our job to try to fix that. Hope that helps!

I spent 8 years in the Army Reserve and used my time to improve my mental health by giving myself a bit of discipline, as well as relearning to shoot , learn fieldcraft etc etc as well as learning to drive a truck. I wouldn't go back now because the British Army is becoming PC and so there is no place for white men.If you want to learn some useful skills, go in for as long as you need to but don't see it as a career. Non Serviam…...
