That being said though, I've heard this story before and I liked it.
I just think OP should've elaborated some sort of anecdote.
For example; what I take away from this is a metaphor for acceptance. If every person who ever lived is you, anything bad that happens to you is 'nothing personal'. This helps me strengthen frame.
Don't take it so literal but a mini mantra I have to hold frame, especially when negotiating with those that aren't close friends or family, is as follows: they don't care about me, I don't care about them.
In essence, nobody gives a fuck about you besides yourself. Act accordingly!
