Hey guys ...
I would like to know your opinion about the rise of (third wave) feminism and #metoo in countries where sexual violence plays a different and possibly more severe role in comparison to the western nations, at least that is how it appears to me. Like say in India, or other '3rd world nations'. India a country with a big population, which is battling poverty, etc, and has other problems. Cause I think we can see more horror stories coming from these areas. I might be wrong. I have no statistics on that.
So does the #metoo movement or sth in similar fashion make sense in india to battle sexual crimes? Or maybe other nations outside of 'the west'? What do you think?
All the best.
