Had an interesting talk with my mom today. She has always been solid for me. I’m 51 and divorced after 25 years of marriage. I’m dating, for fun, which we were discussing. My X tried to always complete, which ultimately ended us. We were discussing gender roles when she says feminism hasn’t done women any favors. We’re different and not equal.

Wish we had more of these conversations when I was younger, or maybe I just missed them. My sister plays her role pretty well. It was thought provoking and I gained even more respect for her. I know that’s different than many others experiences here but thought I would share.

As a background she worked most of her life outside the home and thinking back she always appreciated the different roles we play and never down talked men she worked with. This one is on me...
