I agree with a fair bit of what JP says, but this is one of those uncommon moments where he says something that's the philosophical equivalent of running into a brick wall at full speed because you didn't see it coming.

I mean, I get that on some metaphorical level he has a point that it'd be some symbolic sign of protest about what happened, but it's just another case of JP thinking on a plane 2 tiers higher than is prudent, because in the real world all it'd do is give a clear signal to the Dems that all they have to do to block a move by Trump or the Reps is to find some wrinkled trollop they can tangentially link to them in order to get their way, and the world doesn't lack for wrinkled trollops.

JP's problem is that he still thinks the human baseline is fairly intelligent and honorable, instead of retarded asshole. It's a mentality that you almost have to admire for its naivete, but jesus christ does it have its downsides.
