Not sure how serious she was when she said that, but hearing those words out of her mouth gave me a bit of a shock lol

My sister is 24'ish for example and as far as I know there were never any boys, not even male friends in her life. I once overheard a conversation of my mother and sis, mother said "if you ever bring a boy here or if I ever catch you with a boy, I will both kill you and him". Again, not sure how serious she was with that, they're arabs you never know
