This 1 time in kindergarten, we were cutting shapes out of paper. Once we were done we had to throw the scrap paper in the trash. I crumpled mine, walked to the trash can, and threw it away.
Next to me was a girl who had crumpled her scraps but left it on the table. I told her "You need to throw it away or you'll get in trouble."
What she did next, I'll never forget. She handed me the trash, tipped her head to the right, looked at me in the eyes, fluttered her eyelashes and with a smile, said "can you throw it away for me?"
I took the trash and did exactly what she asked.
Later that day, at home I was eating some chips. I left the empty packet on the table. My mother tells me to throw it away. I handed her the packet, tipped my head to the right, looked her in the eye, fluttered my eyelashes and with a smile said "can you throw it away for me?"
I was slapped so hard, I fell off the sofa.
At age 6, I learned a very valuable lesson.
