I'm new to this community and as far as i have seen the content this is a place for people who don't want to be a part of the whole drama that the world seems to be in regarding gender and just want to stick to their own guns. But what keeps repeating in my mind is this.

Plato lived in the Greek "city state" of Athens during what is called the "classical" era -- at which time the total population is estimated to have been somewhere around 300,000 to 350,000 people; and the population of males actually legally able to "vote/participate" in the polity likely being somewhere between 30,000 to 60,000...

But of course that is distributed across several decades of age ranges (including young inexperienced novices as well as {likely presbyopic, nearly blind} sickly older men), not to mention men with a variety of duties (including ships, merchants, farmers), as well as skills & abiltities (not everyone is a great orator), etc. -- and as a result relatively FEW men could be more than marginally involved -- not everyone was a descendant of a "rich" upper class family like Plato (which by the way was a "pen name" a psuedononymous "nom de plume" -- who was the equivalent of what we would call a "trust fund kid"... basically a do-nothing perpetual student).

Point is, the "voice/participation" of a politically active adult male in the Athens of his era was substantially higher -- and he himself had a rather unusual benefit of "time/leisure" (apparently spent much of his 20's and 30's traveling) -- add on that despite the fact that he wrote and apparently was engaged in various political machinations; he never actually served in any position of responsibility himself. IOW he was a "much talk, do little" type.

Yeah no thanks. I know a lost war when I see it. Go take a look at the men’s right reddit. A truly wise man would know it’s time to make a bunker and stick it their favorite food, booze and cigars.
