I was raised to be a gentleman, and all that entails. I have returned to the UK, to the workplace, after a number of years abroad in an entirely male dominated society. I was always uncomfortable with how ladies were treated there, and one reason I looked forward to leaving.

In Victorian times, a gentleman would never be in a room alone with a lady, for fear of damaging her reputation.

Now, it's my reputation in danger.

I'm going back. The weather is nicer.
