Your question is too generic OP. I'd say you must first face your disillusionment. Setting goals won't solve that. Neither does the chase to reaching those goals. It'll only mask your disillusionment. Exactly the same as using drugs or alcohol to mask it. It'll always come back once your "reached" your "goals." Because the Matrix paradox is: there are no goals. If you set, f.e. a goal to be able to run the marathon in 4 hours. Once you reached that after excessive training, the "rush" of having reached it will quickly fade away and you'll say "OK, next goal is 3.5 hours" Or you want to have this nice and fast sports car. There always will be nicer and faster sports cars.

So my advice is to let the "disillusionment" talk first. Ask yourself: what am I disillusioned about? And why? My best guess is you're seeking happiness from outside. (marathon in 4 hrs, sports car, lots of money, pussy a.s.o.). The pitfall is happiness can't be found outside. Only inside.

People often ask me: "Simp, what kind of goals do you have? What do you want to do in life?" My answer is: actually none. I'm quite minimalistic in life. I have a decent house, a nice car and a good computer. Yes I could easily afford "double or triple the qualities of all" but I don't care to do so. "oh, you must be unhappy then." Nope, I'm perfectly fine thank you.
