Went there last year to visit my sister. On the other side, where there isn't grass, there usually is four long ass queues of people trying to board the lifts in the tower.

It's crazy to me because all of the Eiffel Tower pictures I've seen in the 18 years I've been on this earth have been in your perspective, bright and grassy.

This might sound weird, but it's hard for me to think of the Eiffel Tower as a "real" thing. I've seen it way more often in movies, cartoons, video games and so on. So when I see a picture of the real deal it almost looks kind of fake.

That probably doesn't make much sense, but I guess what I'm trying to say is that, it's hard for me to think of it as something other than a prop. I get the same thing with the Statue of Liberty, when I look at it I don't think of it as an American symbol, I think of that scene from Ghostbusters II where it walks through New York.

I went there almost 2 years ago, lovely place indeed, and not as pricey as some people think. I was lucky enough to get some sunshine though.
