This video is an excerpt from Jordan Peterson's Maps of Meaning lecture series from 2017 and, during the first few lectures in the series, he goes through all the archetypal characters and symbols in the movie, Pinocchio. Here, he talks about Pleasure Island and what kinds of things cause people to be turned into braying jackasses who are doomed to slavery. I think many of you will find the parallels between this and the situation many blue-pilled men find themselves in where they are chasing moist, undulating holes and wind up being abused and drained as a consequence. But, there are even greater parallels to the idea that people who lose their voice and only spout ideological talking points are subject to being enslaved by the worst possible tyrants.
