-In this video, Harada Roshi teaches the basics of meditation and shows one technique: counting the breath.

Be sure to switch on the subtitles for the language you prefer in the video.

-When you get used to that, you can stop counting your breaths and simply put your attention on experiencing them.

-Then later, you can simply focus on your posture and when you move away from the right posture, you become aware of it and move back to the right posture, while maintaining a generalized, expansive awareness of your mind, body, and surroundings (this is the more common Soto Zen method and is called shikan-taza)
