Men are really useful as friends, actually... they might give you a reference or connection for a new job (ie, the thing that provides you with food and shelter), save your ass in a fight, teach you something you really want to learn, give you honest advice, toughen you up, support you, entertain you, or just be fun to hang out with.

Women on the other hand...

When my ex lived with me she was pretty much only good for one thing, but never missed an opportunity to complain about the state of the apartment while not actually doing any cooking, cleaning, laundry, or taking care of anything herself. Meanwhile I kept everything clean, organized, and sanitary. Then a few months after our breakup I visit her in her parent's house to bang, and she's living in absolute squalor--dirty clothes everywhere, pet hair all over the bed, nothing cleaned or vacuumed, and most tellingly, mold covering the entire floor of her shower. Giant red pill shoved in my face that day.
