Why what? In the photo they are creating a photograph version of the Grant Wood painting, "American Gothic", but apart from that I don't know what you mean.

Edit: used Google reverse image search and got the story. Man and woman are married, he has to leave for trip, wife says you go, I'll go else where and never be back. Husband calls it a waste of time and then they didn't see each other for 26 years. Met up. Got married again.

Some people don't harbor hateful and ill feelings towards love and relationships and know when to separate and when they can be together again. It is almost as if growing up gave the space and time to mature like people should.
