Adult teenagers (18,19) are so sexualized and I'm fucking tired of it. As soon as there are no legal restraints, y'all pounce on us. There was a countdown for marykate and ashley to turn 18. The day emma watson turned 18 they were taking upskirt photos. Society fetishizes youth so much and it's strongest on reddit.

Whenever young people, like 18-20 express disgust with the pursuits of an older person, they are demonized. I've seen young people on AITA be called agist, bigoted and disgusting for being grossed out. We are allowed to be disgusted by the pursuits of old people. We are allowed to be disgusted by the very IDEA of you approaching us. We are allowed to be grossed by older people, even if it hurts your feelings. Get fucking over it.

I'm not talking about being grossed out by their existence, but being grossed out by their advances is OKAY.

But a lot of you guys don't realize that the 20 year old cashier is probably uncomfortable around you.

I layer tf up whenever I'm not on campus to avoid the looks of older men on the public transit. So does damn near every other girl I know without a car. We were having a discussion in class and people were talking about being stared at and creeped on by 30 and 40 year old dudes and what they do. Most of us call someone, so we look busy. We talked about our old dude protocols at parties and shit and how hard it is being fetishized by these grown ass men. Especially a lot of us feel like "kids" compared to them. Not like "little kids". Ugh It's hard to explain. But a lot of us have been catcalled since we were 12. It's harder now because it's acceptable to be approached them. A few girls cried about it. It makes us feel gross.

I hate being hypersexualized because of my youth. I hate the oldheads who pursue me to fufill their "barely legal" fantasies. I hate being pursued by older men. They gross me out period. I am ALLOWED to feel this way and I'm tired of being told I can't. I'm fucking tired of it. I layer tf up whenever I'm not on campus or the mall to avoid the looks of older men on the public transit. There is a 20 year old guy being ripped to shreds because he was disgusted by pursuits of a women who was like 31. There was a 19 year old guy who was also being demonized because he was grossed about by a 28 year old. The guys are told they should be GRATEFUL that a women that age is into them. They are being so defensive about their age. Aging is normal, it happens to everyone. I can't wait to be 30 and thriving. When I am, I won't chase after 19 year old guys. I won't cry if they find me gross.

I am not being bigoted, YOU ARE NOT A PROTECTED CLASS.

Edit: There are hundreds of girls in the comments and over 100 girls in my pm who can relate. I don't know if I should be sad they they've experienced it or happy they know they aren't alone. Thank you all for the support.

How is me saying "I hate being fetishized for my age" translate to "death to all men who are attracted to women" to you guys? Bitter and projecting some insecurities.
