It’s because you’re not a car guy, and that’s completely okay my dude. If cars have only been only just been a matter of practical conveyance for you, a method to get from point A to point B, that’s fine. If you never had that quintessential poster of a voluptuous 911 Turbo or muscular Mustang fasback on your wall as a kid, that’s fine too.

But if you’ve ever completed a perfect rev-matched heel-toe downshift into a sweeping descending right hander knowing you should let the car’s momentum carry you through the apex until you’re clear, but goose the throttle a bit anyway to let your rear end slip out to side around the corner a tad sideways while smoking those tires, counter steering to straighten out and exiting the turn at wide open throttle with a sharp crack of the exhaust and you upshift and your head pins back into your seat I personally guarantee that you would have a) an erection b) be grinning from ear to ear c) would absolutely be “getting it” or d) all of the above.

But hell mate; I can relate. Watching sports and water-cooler chit chat and performance reviews does nothing for me.
