This man's observations match my own. Maybe shit's changed, but I doubt it.
I'm extremely average in almost every regard. I was a young man in the golden age of pickup, right around the time that The Game was written, and I found my confidence with people by studying and experimenting with the methodology that various PUAs were sharing on the news groups back then.
The techniques PUAs employed back then simply exploited the natural reactions that both men and women have in social settings, and allowed the practitioners to elevate their influence and perceived worth. They are the same techniques that successful people employ in their daily interactions. Once you know them, you see them everywhere, all the time, in every social interaction.
Behaving like a PUA isn't going to turn you into a sex god that every woman fantasizes about, but it might move you from being perceived as a loser slob to something she isn't offended by. After that, it's just a numbers game. Personally, I think it's ignoble an incredible waste of time and ambition to chase pussy, but in it's absence I spend my time on other things that somebody else will disapprove of.
If you understand the mechanics that a PUA uses to seduce a woman, you can sell a car, keep a class room full of children focused on what you're teaching them, convince a stranger to help you jump start a dead battery, pass a job interview, run damage control on your reputation if you make a big professional mistake, or win a political election.
It doesn't make sense for there to be this angry dichotomy between PUAs, Redpill, and MGTOW. We're all just dudes with a growing understanding of the underlying mechanisms of social interactions. The big difference in the labels is how much we value or don't value the biological impacts that women have on us and society.
