They’ll put you in a viscous downward spiral if you’re not careful. Make you think you’re going through a whole new dimension and force your brain to ooze serotonin on the regular basis. You’ll feel fantastic as if you discovered a new drug.
If you lacked abundance, you’re most likely going to be thinking sigh, finally. All the hard work you put in to get the prize. You’ve finally got it!
Slowly, you’re going to the gym less and less every week. You haven’t talked to your buddies much at all. Other things in your life that need to be addressed, are being postponed. All the hard work you put in, doesn’t need to be worked on because you’ve got a hot new girlfriend that loves you and makes you feel like a new man!
Then the tests come. Now that you’ve started neglecting other aspects of your life and made this girl your world (your new drug), she’s going to naturally want to feel out your frame and see who you really are. She’s going to see that you don’t have much going on other than her, so she’s going to pull back a little and see how you react.
Chances are, you’re going to be after her like a drug fiend. The smallest sliver of ‘uninterest’ you receive from her will stir your anxiety up. You’ll make this very clear to her through conscious and subconscious social queues. She will become less attracted and will result in a downward spiral of your emotions, and how attractive you are to her.
She’s eventually going to think, “Huh. Another one. Next”
So, to prevent this from happening, you’re going to want to have your own life apart from hers. She wants to join your reality because it feels good to her. She doesn’t want some needy guy hitch-back riding on her reality and that whines when she wants him to stop riding on her back. Don’t neglect your priorities and goals just because you think you found “The One”.
