"I'm not sure what went wrong" "I made her laugh a few times" "We agreed to meet up but she flaked" "I don't get it"

"I'm not that bad looking..."

Oh how many times I've seen this cringy fucking self-deluded phrase uttered across the TRP/PUA spectrum. This is the calling card of someone who has already lost the fucking game. The really sad part is that it is both honest yet completely off-the-mark. It's honest in that this is how you really view yourself. You walk into social interactions with this idea about yourself being not that bad looking. How pathetic does that sound in hindsight? "Hi Stacy, I'm Not That Bad Looking." Sigh... Next.

It's also misguided because if you think you aren't that bad looking, meaning you have some sort of fucking inkling of assurance or doubt in either direction, then guess what? You are average. Why is that? Because she probably has hotter guys than you throwing eggplant at her on her phone all day long. If bitches aren't leapfrogging eachother to get to you at the bar, you ain't shit.

Despite the tone of this post, it's not meant to beat you up and make you feel like Sloth. The point is to illustrate that the idea you have about yourself actually does matter. It influences the very first moments of every interaction you participate in. If you're one of these "I'm not that bad looking" guys trying to make a first impression, you're at a huge disadvantage to someone who has a monkey face and truly doesn't give a fuck, thinks he's Ronaldo and carries himself with 100% congruence. The best thing you can do for yourself right now is of course to hit the fucking gym, but on top of that, ditch this "I'm not that bad looking" cancer mindset. You can live with the fact you are one ugly motherfucker, or you can carry yourself as Hunk Supreme, but the worst fucking place to be is in the indecisive middle where you aren't even sure, and even worse, seeking validation. Take control of your own fucking self confidence and stop being lazy with it. Purge this phrase from your vocabulary and mind.
