The title is perfect when viewing it through a MGTOW lens. The life of young Alex is dominated by his craft of climbing. A confident one-track mind free from drama until he brings a woman into his life. You get to see the slow march towards domestication that invades his obsession of being the first man ever to free solo(no safety gear) "El Cap".

This documentary is a near perfect film depicting a man going his own way...and what happens when a woman vandalizes the monument of your existence. The non-stop nagging of a female who relentlessly attempts to kill his dream. The moment he brings her into his life, he gets injured due to her incompetence. Never happened before. A mistake in free soloing equals death.

I recommend MGTOW see this film. It is a great metaphor for living.
