Two experiments tested when and why women’s typically negative, spontaneous reactions to sexual imagery would soften. Sexual economics theory predicts that women want sex to be seen as rare and special. We reasoned that this outlook would translate to women tolerating sexual images more when those images are linked to high worth as opposed to low worth. We manipulated whether an ad promoted an expensive or a cheap product using a sexually charged or a neutral scene. As predicted, women found sexual imagery distasteful when it was used to promote a cheap product, but this reaction to sexual imagery was mitigated if the product promoted was expensive. This pattern was not observed among men. Furthermore, we predicted and found that sexual ads promoting cheap products heightened feelings of being upset and angry among women. These findings suggest that women’s reactions to sexual images can reveal deep-seated preferences about how sex should be used and understood.

Of course. They know they're the 'gatekeepers' to sex and don't want it to look like sex is cheap, because it makes them look cheap.

But sex is always cheap these days, unless you're both virgin and have a healthy relationship; then sex is an exclusive and beautiful thing.

Great experiment. However, plenty of experiments have already shown that women react sexually to pretty much anything sexual.

2 males, 2 females, monkeys fucking, dogs fucking. The list goes on. It seems that anything even remotely sexual by anything triggers their pussy to get wet.

To me, this seems like they have no (or very few) boundaries/standards to what turns them on.

I also believe that, because pretty much everything triggers them to think about sex, when it's processed in the brain and comes out their mouth as 'threat'. I mean, hell, if you're a drug addict that will do any drug, but you are trying not to do drugs and someone takes you into a candy store of drugs, you're going to have a strong reaction to avoid it because it's tempting as all fucking hell.

This is how a woman feels just walking down the street. They 'feel' like everyone is trying to fuck them and then their defenses come up and they get all anxious. But they never go "wait, it's just me, these are just people walking down the street, most aren't even noticing me, I need to calm down..."

I believe this is also because they WANT to believe they are fucking awesome and everyone wants to fuck them to feed their egos.

So now you have a catch 22... hell, even a catch 33. A paradox.

Their body screams "SEX" and makes them horny, their brain goes "THREAT" and then this triggers the ego to also be proud of their thinking. How the fuck do you unpack that?

Just imagine for a moment having to be a woman and when you get horny and want sex, you have to let someone shove their body into yours? Their brain is wired in such a way that being horny also lowers their defenses enough for them to "fall into it" and "let it happen", even when they see a man that is low in SMV, this happens, but their brain goes "NO WAY, NOT HIM" while their body is in an 'almost' state of 'heat' where something it making her horny but she doesn't want to admit that. The hamster works insanely fast and then she projects onto him that he wants to fuck her and that he's a threat.

It's so fucking nuts.
