What do ya’ll do when you look back at your life and get chills? I’m optimistic about my future but damn, what was I thinking in my past?
How do you look at your past objectively without thinking you are crazy? All of it happened in my late teens and early twenties. Now I’m mid twenties and realize the craziness I put myself through. Suicide attempts? Reckless situations with women? Unreal expectations? How do you never be your past again?
I’m mid twenties and have multiple things going for me now. It’s because of hard work and help from lots of sources including you guys, some family members, Dave Ramsey, Tom Leykis, motivational speakers, Aaron Clarey, and countless more sources.. it wasn’t like this though.
I’ve attempted to take my life and have thought about it several times in the past. Placed in the emergency room from an “accidental” overdose, had medical bills up to my ears with no savings and the harsh memories of getting my heart broken multiple times. I was told I didn’t have a lot going for me by an ex. I went through the rollercoaster of being intimate with over 20 women in the course of a few short years which made my emotions even crazier.
Now I’m on track to graduate end of this year with undergrad, in a good career path, no debt as of right now, savings, physically fit, and knowledge and experience to get through the next several decades.
Lots of people on this forum have given me good advice. As long as you wake up, there is hope that your future will be brighter. It might take some time, but if you work on things, it’ll happen.
