Avoid the rat race AT ALL COSTS.. If you work a 9-5 job, and are happy, great. I'm not against working a 9-5 job, but what I am against is doing something you HATE for the rest of your life, and being absolutely miserable. Western society will try to make you think there's NO OTHER way to live life, but that is a lie. The truth is, people in the rat race want EVERYONE to be just as miserable as they are.
