Because being set up for life on account of someone else's hard work and enjoying a lifestyle that she didn't even earn isn't enough. She has to find some shit to whine about. Women are not doing this to be mean. This is survival mehanism- they thrive by creating a sense of flaw and deficiency in the man. Women do not bring much to the table beyond sex and babies.

She has to keep the man on the plantation. Like you do not praise children to their face women do not praise men to or behind their face. It's an inbuilt safety feature.
