Was sorting through the attic the other day and found some of my old Tintin comics. I used to read the comics and watch the cartoon series all the time as a kid. One notable thing about the series is the fact that it didn't have any romantic subplots and barely any female characters. Bianca Castafiore, the only principal female in the series, was mostly just portrayed as a sort of comic relief. I liked how the series had male friendship, mystery solving and the thirst for adventure as some of its central themes and didn't waste time on romance which would've just distracted from the story. Truly a rarity these days. Probably why I loved (and still love) this series.

Anyway, just felt like reminiscing about old times.
